Let's Get in Touch!

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies importing palm-derived products into the European Union to verify that their production processes are not linked to deforestation.

Due to rising consumer and regulatory pressure, the palm oil industry must prioritize sustainability and traceability in its supply chain. The European Parliament's Deforestation-Free Supply Chain Regulation (EUDR) in April 2023 now mandates traceability to the plantation level for palm oil, emphasizing the need for transparency.

To achieve Traceability to Plantations, Field Agents work closely with palm oil mills and their suppliers to map smallholders in the palm oil mill's supply chain. Field Agents also conduct comprehensive farm and risk assessments for each farmer and farm, ensuring a thorough understanding of the associated risks within the agricultural landscape.

Our field agents collaborate with local dealers, agents, and collectors to document traceable transactions from farmer to palm oil mill. Koltiva thoroughly reviews the transaction data, distinguishing between two categories of farmers: Those new and requiring mapping and those previously mapped farmers confirmed to be in the dealer/collector’s supply chain. Following this, Koltiva can support suppliers to work towards recording traceable transaction in real-time.

The KoltiTrace platform facilitates the automatic generation of due diligence statements for refineries and palm oil mills. Utilizing the gathered data, Koltiva can create customized due diligence statements and risk assessments. Additionally, as an upcoming EU-authorized representative, Koltiva will be empowered to submit due diligence statements on behalf of the operator and trader.

Advanced Features for Verified Supply Chains

In the process of mapping producers and farms, Field Agents work closely with processors and suppliers to map smallholders in the processors' supply chains. Field Agents also conduct comprehensive farm and risk assessments for each producer, ensuring a thorough understanding of the associated risks within the agricultural landscape, through KoltiTrace application.

EUDR Deforestation Verification

Automatic deforestation checks based on annually updated Sentinel satellite data and integration with the forthcoming EU deforestation baseline map will occur when accessible. There is also the potential for expansion to offer historical Land Use Change (LUC) emissions information for productive farms in global supply chains for any crop.
