TRACEABILITY IN SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL – WHAT’S NEXT?

The palm oil supply chain is complex, ranging from large-scale producers to family farms and independent mills. We must also ensure that all business actors implement sustainable production practices. Proactively tracing the suppliers and their sources is the first step to achieving this transformation process. 

​

In 2019, the Ksatria Sawit program was initiated as part of the Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food commitment to support its supply chain in sustainability transformation through traceability.

​

So, what's next? Through a capacity-building program for the independent smallholder, Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food collaborate with business partners, such as Mars and Koltiva, providing intensive training and guidance to help independent smallholders implement best agricultural practices.
