Responsible Seafood Summit

With global fish production estimated at 179 million metric tons and worth over $400 billion annually (FAO, 2020), ensuring the sustainability of seafood production is a shared responsibility. At the heart of sustainable seafood production is traceability, the foundation of best aquaculture practices that ensure environmental responsibility, animal welfare, food safety, and social accountability. By embedding these principles, businesses can align with evolving consumer demands and enhance their alignment with the current landscape of seafood production and sustainability practices.

Our Head of Sectors, Sarah Harding, will participate in the 23rd edition of the Responsible Seafood Summit 2024, organized by the Global Seafood Alliance and co-hosted by Seafood Scotland! She will join the course to explore critical topics such as technology in seafood supply chains, the impact of climate change on aquaculture, fishing crew welfare, and advancements in aquaculture feeds and fisheries, including insights into the global shrimp market on this year's summit that has the theme "Increasing Seafood's Share."

Engage with Sarah at the summit to learn how we can help your seafood business enhance traceability and sustainability practices.
