Indonesia has a large workforce ready to drive growth, with 68.7% of its population in the productive age group (15-64) (Bappenas, BPS, UNFPA, 2018). With the nation’s potencies, investing in sustainable industries and education helps create new jobs while advancing toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative and fundamental towards sustainability underscores the need for collaboration of all stakeholders and holistic strategies, ensuring the attainment of the goals.
As part of the journey toward ‘Generasi Emas 2045’, the SDGs Annual Conference 2024, hosted by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia, will center on advancing innovation for Indonesia Emas by highlighting the integration of quality education, job creation, and the green industry, with the theme “Inovasi Menuju Indonesia Emas: Keterkaitan Pendidikan Berkualitas, Pekerjaan dan Industri Hijau”.
