Digital Bridge to Global Markets: Securing Palm Oil Access for Indonesian Smallholders
As global sustainability standards tighten, a critical question emerges: Is the future of sustainable palm oil accessible only to large corporations? Despite Indonesia’s leadership in global palm oil production, millions of independent smallholder farmers continue to face barriers that limit their access to premium and certified markets. Challenges such as land legality, complex traceability requirements, and digital literacy gaps—particularly in high-risk regions like West Kalimantan—are keeping smallholders at the margins of global supply chains. This reality not only jeopardizes farmer livelihoods but also hinders Indonesia’s ability to meet international requirements, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and RSPO certification.
Koltiva is committed to changing that narrative. We are honored to join the GIZ Greening Agricultural Smallholder Supply Chains (GRASS) Webinar on Smallholder Farmers Market Access, where we will share practical, technology-driven pathways to inclusion. Representing Koltiva, Senior Program Manager Jusupta Tarigan will present our proven model for linking global market demand with on-the-ground realities. The session will highlight how our integrated digital solutions—KoltiTrace and KoltiSkills—help overcome legal, structural, and operational barriers that limit smallholder participation in certified markets.
This webinar is a critical platform to demonstrate how Koltiva supports Indonesian farmers in achieving ISPO/RSPO certification and accessing new economic opportunities through sustainable market integration.
