Rescuing the Missing Third: Scanning ASEAN Supply Chain interventions for Food Loss and Food Waste

Food loss and food waste remain among the most pressing challenges across ASEAN's agri-food systems, with an estimated 30% of the region's harvest never reaching the plate. Building on the inaugural session that explored the scale of this problem, the second session of the RAFT Knowledge & Action Series goes deeper into solutions, examining how supply chain interventions, digital traceability, and investment in physical infrastructure can make post-harvest interventions commercially viable across the region.

Koltiva is participating in this session through Ainu Rofiq, Co-Founder of Koltiva, who is joining a panel of practitioners from across the agri-food ecosystem. Ainu is contributing insights on how digital traceability can be leveraged to reduce smallholder post-harvest losses, a critical area where data visibility and supply chain transparency play a direct role in improving outcomes for farmers and buyers alike.

The session brings together a diverse lineup of speakers, including Andrea Coello of Beanstalk AgTech on high-impact agtech innovations, Insan Syafaat of PISAgro on public-private partnerships for regional agricultural transformation, Subhadeep Sanyal of Wavemaker Partners on investing in first-mile infrastructure, and Tripti Bhadauriya of Rejuvrth on transforming agricultural waste into circular economy opportunities. The session is moderated by Dr. Shailendra Mishra, Global Head of Sustainability (Food, Feed & Freight) at Olam Agri.
