Empower Sustainable Sourcing in Cocoa Traceability to Unlock EUDR Compliance
Peru is the 3rd largest producer in Latin America, generating around $266 million annually, and providing significant socio-economic impact by involving more than 100,000 families across the country, while also being considered as one of the 17 high-quality flavour cocoa producers with considerable growth in its cocoa export over the past decade. The Peruvian cocoa is projected to fulfill 7.2 million tons of global chocolate demand in the next decade. As a testament to its commitment to quality and sustainability, Peru also holds the title of the world's leading producer of fair-trade organic cocoa (Rikolto, n.d.). Seeing the immense growth and opportunities to leverage the sustainability of the cocoa sector in Peru, KOLTIVA proudly takes the chance to participate in the Salón del Cacao y Chocolate Internacional 2024.
To introduce different national and international economic agents of the cacao production chain, manage knowledge, and exchange information, the event has established itself as the most important trade fair for the cocoa and chocolate sector in Latin America, with Switzerland as this year's guest country.
Meet our Experts and Americas team, Silvan Ziegler (Head of Market Americas), Valeria Gálvez (Customer Success Manager LATAM), and Pamela Aquino (Customer Success Officer) are ready to engage in insightful discussions addressing challenges within the cocoa industry.
