Advancing Cocoa Sustainability: Empowering Rural Smallholders, Preserving Nature, Enhancing Traceability

Cocoa is currently encountering a global shortage and high prices, considered as complex challenges. According to the International Cocoa Organization, the global cocoa supply will decline due to drought which has ravaged crops in West Africa, the world's largest cocoa producer. Cocoa also faces significant challenges from various pests and diseases, leading to a loss of global production. These global cocoa issues impact low yield and income of the smallholder producer, leading to poverty.

Since 2013, KOLTIVA has engaged in cocoa throughout 18 countries, dedicating to leverage sustainable cocoa practices with human-centred technology and empowering the community through training and coaching to over 57,200 Producers and SMEs. In harmony with our dedication, we take pride to put our presence at the exhibition of World Cocoa Conference 2024 hosted at the Square Brussels Convention Center, Belgium. Under the theme of “Paying More for Sustainable Cocoa”, the event presents a forum for global cocoa communities and stakeholders to foster a collaborative approach to build a more resilient cocoa supply chain.

With the focus on Advancing Cocoa Sustainability by Empowering Rural Smallholders, Preserving Nature, and Enhancing Traceability, we will showcase our commitment to support agribusinesses in the cocoa industry, while promoting inclusive, climate-smart, and traceable global supply chains. Our effort extends to integrating complex supply chain data for sustainability reporting and compliance, as well as empowering cocoa communities.
