🌱 Our Roots: Transforming Coffee Production in Indonesia

Our story began in Indonesia, one of the world’s largest coffee-producing countries. Today, we work with more than 405,000 smallholder coffee producers across Sumatra, Java, Bali, Sulawesi, and Flores, delivering not just digital tools, but lasting impact.

We’ve built an integrated approach combining digital traceabilityon-the-ground coaching, and climate-smart training to support farmers and their communities. Our proprietary technology, KoltiTrace, allows us to monitor every step of the journey—from farm to exporter—ensuring transparency, compliance, and accountability. But we go beyond data. Through farmer capacity-building, we help increase yields, improve income, and reduce climate risks. It’s tech with a heart—and impact at scale.

For Indonesian producers navigating fragmented markets, limited access to finance, and now the pressure of international due diligence regulations, we’re more than a solution provider—we’re a trusted partner walking alongside them every step of the way.

Over the past year, we've supported dozens of Indonesian coffee businesses verified 750,000+ hectares under traceable chains, and achieved measurable yield and income improvements.

🌎 Building Trust and Transparency in LATAM & EMEA

Beyond Indonesia, KOLTIVA’s model has scaled across Central and South AmericaAfrica, and Europe:

  • LATAM: We've partnered with coffee enterprises, cooperatives in Colombia, Peru, and Mexico—deploying digital mobile tools for quality control, delivering producers‑champion training in Good Agriculture Practices, agronomy, and sustainable certification.

  • EMEA: In Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda, we work with coffee businesses to strengthen digital traceability in Europe. This has unlocked access to markets and driven premium returns.

Our Senior Head of Market, Silvan Ziegler, will represent KOLTIVA at the GCP Member Assembly 2025. With deep expertise in leading coffee traceability initiatives across the Americas, Silvan plays a key role in supporting enterprises, agribusinesses, producers, exporters, and roasters in achieving compliance with evolving regulations, including EUDR. If you’re attending the event or based in Switzerland, we invite you to connect with him for a consultation on how our Americas team can support your coffee business with scalable, field-proven solutions for traceability, sustainability, and supply chain transparency.

Why We’re at Geneva: Collaboration, Education, Innovation

We’re not attending this event just to exhibit—we're there to build:

  • Learning & sharing: We’ll attend lectures and workshops—especially those on sustainability. For example, Green Coffee Connect’s session on engineered biochar for carbon removal and soil health is right up our alley

  • Cross‑sector dialogue: World of Coffee is the perfect venue to explore crowdfunding for producer-led ventures, agriculture technology pilots, and partnerships

  • Networking: From roaster villages to buyer lounges, we’ll be actively connecting—introducing our traceability solutions to roasters, brands, and distributors seeking traceable supply.

  • Sharing our vision: We’ll showcase how KOLTIVA’s digital systems, agronomy services, and marketplace are fostering equitable, traceable coffee supply chains.
