Over 60% of Africa’s population depends on agriculture for their livelihoods. Yet, millions of smallholder producers remain underserved—hindered by systemic inefficiencies, limited digital access, and the escalating impacts of climate change (International Labour Organization., 2023). The need for transformative action is urgent.
Africa holds immense potential to lead the future of sustainable food systems. Realizing this promise requires inclusive, scalable, and trust-driven solutions.
That’s why we’re committed to empowering African businesses—not just through technology, but by fostering long-term partnerships and deep engagement with agribusinesses, cooperatives, exporters, governments, and mission-aligned organizations.
Our traceability and compliance initiatives are already making a difference for cocoa producers in West Africa. And through ACAT 2025, we’re working to expand this impact—driving systemic change across the continent.

At Koltiva, we know that true agricultural transformation isn't just about digital tools—it's about people, partnerships, and practical solutions that meet the needs of every smallholder producers, everywhere. That's why we are honored to participate in the African Conference on Agricultural Technologies (ACAT) 2025, held in Kigali, Rwanda, from June 11–12, and proud advocate for inclusive, climate-smart agricultural innovation.
As a global agritech company dedicated to building traceable, sustainable, and inclusive supply chains, we see ACAT not just as an event, but as a pivotal moment in Africa's journey toward resilient food systems.
Reimagining Agriculture Through Next-Generation Technology
ACAT, organized by the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) in collaboration with Rwanda’sMinistry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, is Africa’s premier platform for advancing agricultural technologies. With this year’s theme, “NextGen Ag-Tech Solutions for Africa’s Farmers,” the conference unites governments, agribusinesses, researchers, farmers, and innovators to accelerate the continent’s agricultural transformation.
This mission deeply aligns with our purpose. For more than a decade, we have designed and deployed integrated agritech solutions that improve the livelihoods of smallholder producers—starting in Southeast Asia and now expanding across Latin America and Africa. Our presence at ACAT 2025 is more than a presentation—it’s a commitment to collaboration and co-creation.
Bridging Gaps with Traceability and Inclusion
Africa is on the brink of becoming a global powerhouse in agriculture. Yet, it continues to face challenges such as fragmented supply chains, limited farmer support, and weak market linkages. We’re here to help fix the broken chains.
Through Koltiva’s integrated agritech ecosystem, we provide full supply chain traceability, climate-smart training, and inclusive access to financial services—empowering farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses. From mapping farm boundaries with geospatial tools to digitizing farmer-buyer transactions, our technology unlocks transparency, efficiency, and long-term impact.
“Our participation at ACAT 2025 is a statement of purpose. We are here to empower African agribusinesses with the same tools we’ve used to transform farming communities across continents—tools that foster traceability, improve productivity, and build inclusive economies,”
— Tarsis Katimbo, Business Development Representative, LATAM – Koltiva
Local Innovation, Global Impact
We understand that local challenges require localized solutions—but we also recognize the power of a global network in accelerating impact. At Koltiva, we connect African innovation ecosystems with global agricultural breakthroughs to co-develop scalable and context-sensitive technologies.
Our KoltiTrace platform, a customizable SaaS solution, is tailored to each country’s regulatory, cultural, and environmental context. We don’t just deliver tech—we deliver tools that work on the ground.
Our traceability and compliance work is already supporting cocoa producers in West Africa, and through ACAT 2025, we aim to scale this impact further across the continent.
“This is a pivotal moment,” Tarsis emphasized. “The technology to boost productivity, curb deforestation, and support sustainable trade is already available, but it hasn’t yet reached every farm or supply chain. That’s where we step in. We'renot just deploying digital tools—we're cultivating ecosystems where farmers can prosper, businesses can meet compliance, and sustainability becomes standard practice."
Empowering African Businesses to Lead
Our approach in Africa is anchored in empowerment—not dependency. We don’t bring one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we co-develop tools with local actors, ensuring that ownership and innovation come from within. Our solution ecosystem supports end-to-end digitalization of agricultural value chains. From field-level data collection and farmer coaching to traceability, compliance reporting, and financial access, our solutions are designed to scale sustainability across the globe—and now, across Africa.
Whether it’s enabling agribusiness & enterprises to scale, or strengthening cooperatives, our work aligns seamlessly with ACAT’s mission to build equitable, efficient, and inclusive food systems.
Our integrated technology ecosystem enables the end-to-end digitalization of agricultural value chains, including:
Digital Traceability Platforms: Ensuring full visibility across the supply chain, from farmer to final buyer, meeting international standards such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Smallholder Producers Coaching and Digital Onboarding: Supporting producers with tailored agronomy, financial literacy, and sustainability training through both in-person and digital platforms.
Agri-Fintech Tools: Enabling access to e-wallets, microloans, and digital transactions to improve farmer resilience and unlock rural economies.
Inclusive Data Systems: Leveraging real-time insights to drive transparent decisions for agribusiness & enterprises, cooperatives, buyers, and governments.
Every solution we implement is customized to the local context, language, and commodity, ensuring that digital transformation is both equitable and effective.
