One Hour, One Planet, One Chance to Save Our Planet

Climate and nature crises have reached a critical tipping point, endangering our planet and collective future. In recent years, world leaders have pressured the need to limit global warming to 1.5°C by the end of this century, as stated in the Paris Climate Agreement. Achieving this goal will require swift and determined action from individuals, communities, businesses, and governments to protect and restore our one home.

Earth Hour is a movement that raises awareness of the world's population on climate change. Earth Hour has become the most significant grassroots movement for the environment, reaching millions of people in more than 190 countries. Earth Hour is not just a movement but has succeeded in triggering awareness and becoming real action to deal with the biggest threat to the earth and planet, climate change and the loss of nature and its resources.

"Earth Hour brings attention to the importance of making environmentally conscious decisions, whether at home or work, in our everyday lives. It's vital that businesses commit to protecting our planet by being aware of their environmental impact and becoming more sustainable. Recognizing that a million small actions can add up to making a major change, it's crucial that at Koltiva, we embrace the earth hour movement and challenge our team to go beyond the hour." - Sarah Harding, Project Manager and Sustainability Committee Lead at Koltiva.

As we celebrate Earth Hour 2024, we must recognize the collective effort required to tackle climate change. At Koltiva, we support agribusinesses with supply chain climate solutions to address the environmental impacts of agribusiness operations and reduce their carbon footprints across the global supply chain processes. Koltiva Climate Solutions are now integrated with our traceability platform, KoltiTrace. It plays an important role in addressing climate change by enabling companies to track and monitor their supply chains for sustainability and climate-related issues. Implementing such measures can reduce our carbon footprint and positively impact the environment.

So as we turn off our lights for an hour, let's also take this opportunity to commit to long-term sustainable practices and join forces with us and others working towards a better future for our planet.
